A Message from the Culture Alliance
To our North Simcoe culture community,
As you may have heard, the member municipalities that form the Culture Alliance have voted to withdraw from the committee and the Culture Alliance will be dissolving by the end of April 2025.

While this committee will no longer exist, please be assured that the Councils for the Town of Midland, Town of Penetanguishene, Township of Tay and Township of Tiny continue to recognize the importance of celebrating and promoting the unique culture that makes up the Heart of Georgian Bay. Cultural programming and engagement opportunities will continue to be organized and delivered outside of the Culture Alliance.

We recognized and thank the community volunteers who dedicated countless hours to supporting the growth and development of the Culture Alliance and we thank you for your support and participation in Culture Alliance activities during the past five years.

Who We Are
The Culture Alliance in the Heart of Georgian Bay is comprised of The Town of Midland, The Town of Penetanguishene, The Township of Tiny and the Township of Tay. Together we are celebrating, fostering, promoting and leveraging cultural resources in the Heart of Georgian Bay, with a view to growing a prosperous year-round creative economy, and enhancing the quality of life and cultural awareness for all residents.

L’Alliance de la culture au cœur de la baie Georgienne est formée de la ville de Midland, de la ville de Penetanguishene, du canton de Tiny et du canton de Tay. Ensemble, nous célébrons et cultivons les ressources culturelles au cœur de la baie Georgienne; nous en assurons aussi la promotion et les mettons à profit pour encourager une économie créative et prospère à l’année longue et améliorer la qualité tout en rehaussant la sensibilisation culturelle de tous les résidents.
